- The 597BC deportation left the poorest of the land (2nd Kgs. 24:14), and now the 586BC deportation left only the poorest of the poor (Jer. 52:12-16; 2nd Kgs. 25:12).
- Much of the temple required dismantling in order to plunder the material wealth of its construction (Jer. 52:17-23).
- The remaining spiritual and secular authorities found in Jerusalem are brought to Nebuchadnezzar for execution (Jer. 52:24-27).
Second Kings Chapter Twenty-Five
